


Pay rates vary accordingly in different facilities. Employees are compensated equally to their competency level and everyone is eligible for the highest rate possible. Further discussions of rates can be done when you come in to apply.
What kind of facilities do ULTRACARE staff?
Our 32 active customers include major hospitals, extended care facilities, and facilities that provide care for ventilator dependent patients all in the New York Metropolitan area (including all 5 Boroughs, Long Island, Yonkers, and Northern NJ). Some of our largest clients are New York Health and Hospital Corporation, The Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System, and Continuum Health Services. The services we provide range from clinical and patient care staff to back-office clerical staff.
When can I start working after I am hired?
You can start working as soon as you meet the registration requirements and complete a drug screen and/or criminal background check if the facility requires them.
What are the chances I will get cancelled from an assignment and how often?
On some occasion, clients may cancel previously confirmed shifts. However, ULTRACARE, will attempt to offer alternate assignments to suit your availability, as much as possible. Cancellations are usually done by the facilities 2 hours before the start of the shift.
Is there a required amount for shifts worked?
ULTRACARE does not require anyone to work a certain amount of shifts. You may work as much as a full time shift or work part time hours. However, once availability has been pre-determined, we ask that you stay committed to the time and shift given to you.
How does the payroll process work?
ULTRACARE's
payroll office operates under a very strict weekly deadline. Our work
week is from 12:00 am Monday to 11:59 pm Sunday.
Clients will have a weekly sign-in sheet available at the
facility you will work in. All employees are required to sign in as they
arrive and sign out as they leave.
Employees are restricted to working 40 hours per weeks.
On occasion, at the discretion of the Staffing Coordinators, employees may be
permitted to work over 40 hours per week.
PAY DAY is every Friday at 9:00 am. Pay checks will be
held throughout the day for pick-up. Any check not picked up will be
mailed at 5:00 pm. The Payroll Department is available from 9:00 am to
5:00 pm to handle all payroll problems and questions.
